I Miss My Girl
I still sometimes expect to see Esther coming around a corner. I miss her goofiness. I took this photo of her when I was babysitting for little Anthony. This was his chair, but Esther was being territorial and decided it was just the right size for her.
She often would get her ears turned inside out when she was washing her face and didn't seem to mind it. She looks really goofy.
Esther could not resist ribbon. She loved opening presents, especially on Christmas morning. Once when she was a kitten, I had finished wrapping a gift and put it down on the floor. As if on cue, Esther went right over to the package and ripped the bow off with her teeth. She always made us laugh.

They are our babies, aren't they? One of ours (Cry Baby) ends up with his tongue sticking out oddly when he is done cleaning himself and it just cracks us up. When our beloved "Puss" passed away several years ago it was so traumatic to us, we said, "No more cats! Can't go through his again." Now we have three and they are all so different from one another and nothing like Puss. They're all nuts & we love them (although Gracie tests us often).
I know how you feel Dorothy. I still miss my Ernie boy.
They all have such distinct personalities....can't ever replace them. BTW, fabulous pictures from Kaui.
You can never replace them. It's sad that they don't live longer.
I hope Gracie is doing well.
Thanks on the photos. I want to go back!
This cat was special, Dorothy.
